Onion Juice – It contains sulphur that boosts collagen production in the tissues and helps in the re-growth of hair. Take out juice from a few slices of onion either by mashing or grating it and apply it on scalp for about fifteen minutes. Rinse it off with mild shampoo. Repeat this once a week to see the miracle.
Coconut Milk – It is rich in iron, potassium and essential fats. Mix coconut milk from a fresh coconut, half a squeeze of lemon and four drops of lavender oil and apply it on scalp. Leave it for four to five hours and then rinse off. Avoid using purchased coconut milk.
Apple Cider Vinegar – It gently cleanses the scalp and maintains the pH balance of the hair thereby accelerating hair growth. Dilute the vinegar by mixing 15 ml in a cup of warm filtered water and apply the solution after washing hair. This gives an added shine to the hair and boosts hair growth. You can repeat it every time you wash your hair.

Cumin Seeds – Soak two teaspoons of cumin seeds in half cup olive oil or castor oil overnight and apply the paste on affected area. Wash it with mild shampoo after 15 minutes. Repeat this once every month. It promotes hair growth and healthy and shinning hair.
Peppercorns – Mix two teaspoons peppercorns and half cup lime juice and apply the paste on root of hair. Cover your hair with warm towel for deep penetration and rinse it after half an hour. Repeat this twice a month. It makes hair soft and improves its texture.
Hibiscus Flower – Make a paste of two hibiscus flowers with two teaspoons of coconut oil or sesame oil and apply it on hair and rinse it with mild shampoo. Repeat this every time you wash your hair. It cures dandruff and enhances hair growth.

Sesame seeds – Mix powdered Indian gooseberry (amla) and sesame seeds in equal amounts. Take a teaspoon twice a day with water.

Vitamin E oil – Massage vitamin E oil into the scalp and leave it overnight. Rinse off with mild shampoo. Repeat this every time you wash your hair for soft and smooth hair. It promotes hair growth and reduces hair fall and split ends and also reduces dandruff to give shining hair.
Bhringraj – It helps promote hair growth and reverses balding. It also prevents premature graying. It is available in powdered form and as oil. Take a handful of bhringraj leaves and make a paste in water. Alternately, make a paste of five to six tablespoons of dried bhringraj powder with some water. Apply the paste on scalp and leave it for twenty minutes. Wash off with mild shampoo. Repeat this every alternate day. A combination of amla and tulsi with bhringraj oil is also helpful. Amla – The Indian Gooseberry – Make a paste of five to six tablespoons of amla powder with five to six tablespoons of water and apply the paste on scalp and leave it for thirty minutes. Wash it off with mild shampoo. Repeat this every alternate day. It is used as an effective solution for hair fall and improves scalp health. It is often used as natural dye in combination with shikakai.
Neem – It is used for hair loss and skin treatment for years. Regular use of neem on scalp improves blood circulation and strengthens the roots which in turn promote hair growth. It is also used for the treatment of dandruff and lice and promotes healthy hair growth. Boil a handful of neem leaves in around two cups of water for fifteen minutes and let it cool. Wash your hair and then rinse your hair lastly with the neem infused water. Do not rinse your hair any further. Apply this every alternate day. Alternately we can also make a paste of dried neem powder and water and apply it on hair for thirty minutes before rinsing with mild shampoo.
Ritha or soap nuts – It is used as natural shampoo since years. It promotes hair growth and improves texture and volume of hair when used regularly. Soak a handful of soap nuts or ritha in two cups of warm water overnight. In the morning, boil the soap nuts in the same water for about fifteen minutes and then set it aside to cool. Rinse your hair with water and then pour half of the soap nut solution through your hair. Massage your hair for five minutes then rinse with water. Repeat with the remaining soap. Do not apply any shampoo. Repeat this every alternate day.
Shikakai – Mix six tablespoons of dried shikakai powder in two cups of water and rinse the hair with the solution. Massage the hair for five minutes and then rinse with clear and cool water. Repeat this every alternate day. Alternately one can make herbal tea with dry shikakai powder and use that as a final hair rinse. Shikakai powder can also be used with hair oil. Its natural antioxidant content makes it perfect for restoring scalp health, reduces dandruff and treating hair fall.
Ashwagandha – Combine three tablespoons dried Ashwagandha powder, three tablespoons dried amla powder, six tablespoons water and apply the mixture on scalp and leave it for thirty minutes before washing it off with shampoo. Repeat this every alternate day. It is excellent remedy to control dandruff, hair growth and regrowth and maintain the natural hair color.
Brahmi – It strengthens hair and promotes hair growth. It also makes hair thick, lustrous and reduces dandruff and makes hair shiny. Mix two tablespoons dried brahmi powder, two tablespoons dried amla powder, two tablespoons dried ashwagandha powder, half cup yogurt and apply the mixture from roots to tips of hair. Leave it for one hour and then wash it with lukewarm water and mild shampoo. Repeat this every alternate day. Alternatively, boil some water and add leaves of brahmi, tulsi and neem for ten minutes and let it sit overnight. Apply the liquid on hair after shampooing.
Jatamansi – It is common medicine for hair growth. It improves nourishment to scalps and boosts hair growth. Mix five to six drops of jatamansi oil with two to three tablespoons of carrier oil and apply on hair. Massage it for fifteen minutes and then leave it for further half an hour. Wash off with mild shampoo and lukewarm water. Repeat this every alternate day.
Methi – It is one of the best solutions for dandruff and boosts scalp health. Roast the methi and powder it. Make a paste of the powder in water and apply it on scalp and leave it for twenty minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water and mild shampoo. Repeat this twice a week.
Aloe Vera – It is an excellent ingredient for boosting scalp health, controlling hair fall and promoting hair growth. Combine half cup aloe vera gel, three tablespoons coconut oil, two tablespoons honey and apply this mixture to scalps and leave it for thirty minutes. Repeat this twice a week.
Ayurvedic Oils – Massage hair for fifteen minutes with hot oil either coconut, maha bhringraj, amla, arnica, seesame seed, almond or brahmi which rejuvenates hair follicles leading to better blood circulation to the roots. Leave it for additional thirty minutes and rinse off with mild shampoo and lukewarm water. This eventually increases volume and length of hair. Repeat this every alternate day.
Banyan Tree – Grind small portion of banyan tree root and mix some lemon juice in it and apply the mixture on scalp to control hair fall.
Shankh Pushpi – It is a tonic which relieves mental tension and stimulates hair tips for enhanced hair growth.
Aritha – It removes dandruff, promotes hair growth and makes hair soft.
Indian gooseberry and lemon juice – Crush the cut and de-seed gooseberry to paste and extract its juice and mix three tablespoons of lemon juice to this juice and apply it on scalp. Leave it for thirty minutes and then wash it off with normal water.
Curry leaves, lemon peel, soap nut, fenugreek seeds and green gram – Grind fifteen to twenty curry leaves, one lemon peel, three tablespoon soap nut powder, two tablespoon fenugreek seeds, two tablespoon green gram and use this mixture as shampoo which is beneficial for hair fall.
Green tea, ginger, onion, fenugreek seed – Soak one teaspoon fenugreek seeds, one table spoon green tea, a tinch of ginger, a peel of red onion in three tablespoon of water overnight. Make a paste of the solutions in morning and apply the paste on scalp. Leave it for thirty minutes. Wash it off with cold water. It controls hair fall and dandruff, makes the hair soft and silky, keeps the natural hair oil balance and is very helpful for bald patch.
Licorice – A paste of licorise made by grinding it in milk and applied on the bald patches is very helpful for hair regrowth.
Rasayana theraphy is useful for hair loss. It is achieved be panchakarma procedure followed by administration of rasayana medicines like chavawanprash, brahma rasayana etc.
Chayawanprash – It is more known for promotion of immunity and prevention of respiratory disorders such as cough, cold etc. It is good for hair growth, anti hair fall, hair regrowth etc. besides Rasayana effect.
Narasimha Rasayana – It is one of the rasayana herbals which is highly beneficial for hair growth and hair fall control.
Radish juice – Tonsure the entire head and apply radish juice with cotton cloth on the bald area by stretching the skin where bald is present so that the juice enters the blocked roots of the hair. Keep it overnight and take bath early in the morning with natural shampoo. Put two drops of sesame oil in the nostril and breathe in. Due to this, root ends of hair that was lost will reopen and hair regrows. Repeat this every fortnight for three to six months. Hair will regrow again on the bald portions.
Kalabandra hair oil (Aloevera) paste – Mix quarter kilogram of aloevera paste with quarter kilogram coconut oil and boil till oil remains then add a fistful of Murwa/Damna (Sweet Majoram/Souther wood). Remove from frame before the leaves turn black, filter it and use it daily. Massage well till it soaks into the roots. It strengthens roots of hair, eliminates dandruff and itching on head, hair fall, grey hair, bald head etc.
Jatamamsi, Chengalva Kostu, Black Sesame Seeds, Sugandhaphala Roots, Lotus Seeds – Grind hundred grams of jatamamsi, hundred grams of chengalva kostu, hundred grams of black sesame seeds, hundred grams of sugandhaphala roots, hundred grams of lotus seeds and add half kilogram naatu cow’s ghee and boil on sim flame till ghee remains. Filter the ghee and apply this daily atleast twice a week. It resolves baldness problem.
Wrap wet cloth around head. Wrap one dry cloth over it and on the top one thick bed sheet. Excess heat is removed and head get warmed and closed hair pores will reopen.
Apply neem oil or mustard oil at least twice a week and massage with fingertips till oil reaches roots. Take bath early in the morning with natural shampoo.
Soak five tablespoons of triphala churna overnight and apply it over head and comb the hair. Hair fall stops and hair regrows.
Make paste of onion seeds powder by grinding with water and apply the paste on bald patches. Rinse it after it dries.
